How do I prepare my property for a virtual tour, aerial, or architectural photography shoot?
Simple, make sure the property is clean, each shot location is vacant, and all lights are on.
How much does InvisionStudio's virtual tour, property photography, and aerial photography service cost?

How much lead time do I need for scheduling?
We can ususally schedule resedential projects within a week. Commercial projects usually can be schedules 1-2 weeks out. Traveling shoots require about 3 weeks lead time for best travel costs.
How much do you charge for local travel?
We don’t charge anything for travel within a 50 mile radius of the shoot. Anything
How much do you charge for out of state travel?
We only bill for travel reimbursements, which we pay for up front and find the best possible rates. Usually those costs include airfare and in some cases lodging and ground transportation depending on the length of stay and complexity of the project.
What is the invoicing process?
We do not invoice you until after the shoot is complete and the total images are recorded, usually the following day. We ask that payment is received before delivery of final virtual tour and high resolution still images. Your tour will remain in sample mode and photos in low res with watermarks until payment is received.
What is Sample Mode on a 360 virtual tour?
When a 360 virtual tour is in sample mode, it has limited functionality and a "Sample" watermark on the screen.Â
What is a low resolution, watermarked image?
An image is watermarked with our semi transparent Invision Studio logo and delivered in a much smaller size than the originals so that it cannot be loaded into the un-paid client's marketing material or shared as their own.
What are your payment terms?
We usually set the payment terms 14 days for residential projects and 30 days for commercial projects.
What if I decide not to pay?
Simple, we disable your virtual tour and erase your property photos.Â
Do I have to sign a contract?
Contracts are only required on long term, multiple property deals or projects over $2500
Do you bring your own lighting?
We do not use any lighting for our property photography, 360 virtual tours, or aerial photography services. The quality is greatly enhanced when using natural lighting and HDR.Â
What is HDR?
HDR (High Dynamic Range) is when a series of photos are taken at different exposures ranging from very bright to very dark and then blended together to create a perfectly lit image. There are in turn no dark shadows or over exposed windows and everything is balanced.
Do you shoot at night?
Yes, we try to shoot any exteriors at dusk or during the first hour after sunset (we call this blue hour) before the sky is too dark to pull light from. Any and all interior images can be taken at night as long as the room has lights in it.Â
Are day or night shots better for my property when it comes to virtual tours, property photography, or aerial photography services?
It depends on the property. If you are going for a bright, cheery feel then daytime shots are better. If you would like a warm, elegant feel then we recommend night shots. Take into consideration the type of shoot as well, whether it be 360 tours, aerial photography services, or property photography services.Â
What do I do with my TV screens and fireplaces when InvisionStudio comes out to shoot a virtual tour of my property?
Please turn all TV screens and computer screens off and keep fireplaces on. We will Photoshop any screen images with whatever you would like in post production.
Should I wet down my cement and landscaping?
We prefer the cement and landscape to remain dry and natural, but if you would like to it is best to do this during sunset/dusk so that the water does not dry up rapidly.
What is the rule of thumb for decorating for my virtual tour, still images, or aerial photography shoot?
Less is more. Although completely vacant properties are not recommended at all, the less clutter the better. Keep décor to a healthy minimum.
Should I have people or models in my photo shoot?
Typically not. However, if it is a commercial property (Restaurant, Office Building, Retirement Resort, etc.) that usually has people buzzing around then yes, we would recommend having models. However, everyone participating must sign a model release form.
What is a model release form and how do I find the right one?
A model release form is an agreement signed by each individual in the photo shoot to allow us to photograph them and use their images for marketing and public material. Don’t worry, we have model release forms that we can send for you to print and have signed.
Do I need to close down my common areas during the time of the shoot for commercial properties?
Yes, if you don’t want any people in the shoot, please close down those areas during that time. We can provide very specific time frames that we will be in each area if you would like so that you would only need to keep each area closed for a short period of time
What happens after the shoot?
After the shoot, whether it be 360 photography, architectural photography, or aerial photography, we send the invoice with an ETA to be paid before delivery of final projects. We then perform post processing and produce the 360 tour in which we will provide to you for review. Once reviewed, we perform any final adjustments and send the final virtual tours and photos.Â
Do you charge extra for modifications and editing?
Light touch ups are provided at no cost. However, editing requests above and beyond the normal scope of work will be charged at a rate of $25 per hour.Â
What should I do if my property is vacant and unfurnished?
We recommend trying your best to add whatever décor or furnishing you can as empty spaces do not translate well in photographs.
What are expectations for landscaping?
Obviously we recommend having your landscaping in top shape for the shoot, but we can provide touch ups on grass and plants if they are dying or need a little bit of help.Â
How are you able to provide expedited processing at no additional cost?
We ask that our customers are curious with their request and only use it when necessary. If the request is made, we place it above the non-time sensitive projects in our queue.
Should I take down any personal photos or sensitive material?
If you do not want the public to see your family photos or sensitive material in an office for example, we ask that you please take it down. If you forget, or it takes away from the aesthetics of the property to much remove such material, we can always blur faces and Photoshop out and sensitive material.Â
How long does it take to photograph my property for a 360 Virtual Tour?
Total time varies per 360 Tour, but it typically takes 15 minutes to shoot each panoramic location. Usually about 6-10 locations for residential photoshoots and 10-25 for commercial shoots.Â
How much are add-ons for 360 Photography?Â
Only custom floor plans, custom buttons, and custom audio are extra and vary slightly depending on compltexity. But all other add-ons are free for Virtual Tours.
Do I own the rights to the Virtual Tour?
Yes, once full payment is processed, you own the 360 Virtual Tour and it’s yours to use however you please.

How big is the virtual tour file?
Zero megabytes. We host the tour on our servers so the 360 Tour doesn’t take up any space on your computer or device.

What type of Virtual Tour platform do you use?
We use the VPIX virtual tour platform that runs on HTML5. After extensive searching and testing on all virtual tour platforms we found that the VPIX is the most simplistic and versatile virtual tour software platform out there.
What is HTML5?
HTML5 is the newest form of what we used to be flash. It's the most versatile way to share any media across multiple devices browsers.
How customizable is my virtual tour?
There're only a few fix buttons our virtual tours. Full screen, auto rotate, navigation arrows, and hide tools. All of the buttons and features are customizable. We've an happy take all buttons and features off to a clean tour free of any obstructions.
What is a hot spot arrow?
A hot spot area is a button within the 360 Virtual Tour that you click to go from room to room or area . For example a hotspot arrow would be placed going from the living room to kitchen, you would click the arrow and move from the living room panorama to the living room panorama.Â
What is an info box on a Virtual Tour?
Info box is a feature within the 360 tour that is used to highlight a specific feature within your property. You simply click a button and up pops a window with the small picture of the item and a brief description. You can even add a link at the bottom of the description. For example a restaurant might put an info box hotspot on their wine list, when you click on it brief description of their wind selection and a picture pops up when you click a link it will bring the user to their website with the full wine list is featured. All inside the virtual tour itself.

How does a floor plan work on a 360 Tour?
Either a floor plan of the property is provided to InVision studio from the client or a floor plan is made by one of this InVision studio photographers by measuring and creating the floor plan using special software. The floor plan is then loaded into the virtual 360 tour where it can be shown on the left side of the screen well viewing the tour. Interactive 3-D pushpins can be put into all rooms on the floor plan that have a virtual tour associated with it, when the viewer clicks the push pin it will take them to the corresponding room within the virtual tour. See our Baker Avenue project for a great example of this.
What is Gyroscope Technology on a Virtual Tour?
Gyroscope is something used in tablets to measure when the device is being tilted or turned. Our virtual tours are designed to work with the gyroscope and your phone so that when you move the phone down and around the Virtual Tour, the 360 Tour moves down and around as well.
What type of sound file is accepted on a Virtual Tour?
Only mp3 audio files are accepted for our 360 virtual tours
Can I add a voice walkthrough to my Virtual Tour?
Yes, a voice walkthrough can be added to your virtual tour. We do not staff any voiceover professionals but can make recommendations. It is up to the client to provide voiceovers for us to load into the tour.
Can the sound be different per 360 shot?
Yes you can provide a different sound file for each panorama. This is especially useful when explaining he details of each individual room similar to a video walk-through.
Can I add a slide shot to the Virtual Tour?
Yes you can add the slideshow right within the 360 Virtual Tour. A button will appear at the bottom of the Virtual Tour screen that you can click and still image slideshow will appear where you can scroll through all this delusion of the property.
Can I receive my 360 tour analytics?
Yes, not only can we provide your analytics for your virtual tour, but we can activate your email address with special permission to your individual virtual tours analytics that you can access it anytime and check your views and tour statistics.
What are custom buttons one Virtual Tour?
Custom buttons can look however you want in Can be links to virtually any webpage or even another tour. Allowing the user to “Schedule a Viewing", "Reserve a Table”, “Book a Room”, or and more right within the virtual tour.

What is stitching on a 360 Virtual Tour?
Stitching is how a panoramic image is made. We take a series of photographs using a wide angle lens and this string them together to create a panoramic image that is then loaded into our software to create the 360 panoramas that you see in the tours.
